Indonesian Sisterhood of
Travelling Kimono

"Connecting kimono lovers across the archipelago, one shipment at a time."

物語 Our Story

In 2012, an idea sparked within the Immortalgeisha forum: the "Sisterhood Traveling Kimono." The concept was simple yet beautiful—a single kimono traveling around the world, worn and styled differently by each recipient. While postage costs and logistics made participating in the international round difficult for us in Indonesia, the inspiration remained.

Later that year, after intense conversations with the admin of Kimono Fans Indonesia and the owner of Kiyora Japan, we decided to bring this concept home. These passionate enthusiasts agreed: Indonesia needed its own exclusive travelling kimono event.

On December 4, 2012, with the blessing of the original international organizers, we launched the Indonesian Sisterhood of Traveling Kimono (ISOTK). Our first chosen kimono was a gorgeous komon—versatile, durable, and perfect for any occasion (TPO).
