ISOTK Round 2 9th Stops: Yafra, Surabaya

The traveling kimono set its next destination to Surabaya, Jawa Timur. Surabaya is the capital city of Jawa Timur and considered as the second biggest city after Jakarta. I want to inform you that ISOTK Round 1 was also happened to feature Surabaya. It was presented by Aulia. You can check Aulia from Round 1's kitsuke in here (blog) and here (Facebook) . Now I want to accompany you to check another part of Surabaya with Yafra, our Round 2's participant, in this time Monkasel (Monumen Kapal Selam), House of Surabaya and Yafra's little fun trip to a bunkasai in UNAIR. Yafra was rocking in her hanhaba and nagoya obi. She decided to have THREE different set of ensembles. Check the pictures below. Also, kindly check for another ensembles at our Facebook page Indonesian Sisterhood of Traveling Kimono .

DIY: How to Make Your Own Obidome

This isn't my picture, but kimonolady's. If any of you want me to put down the post, I will gladly accept. I post this because I admire her work and it is an inspiration. I put the picture in my hard drive and I think it will be a backup if my hard drive is fail one day - I dunno. I already did the tutorial and it is actually a great tutorial. The only downfall is that the brooch can loose easily - the obijime makes the obidome undone easily even though I wore the flat and thin obijime. I think I need to make the obidome with locking pin.

Kimono Collection: Tsukesage Light Pink and Sky Blue

This two tsukesage were my purchases a long time ago. Right until this time I haven't worn them with any ensemble but the tsukesage has been worn by my customer - the Dai 10 Nihongo no Hi's committee. They are light pink and sky blue, but the more I see the kimono, the more I feel that this tsukesage tachi aren't my taste. I'm thinking about konmari'ed it.

ISOTK Round 2 8th: Uni, Makassar
