Kimono Day: January 2013 Kitsuke

I know I supposed to post this kitsuke on January, but I admit that I was slack on my update in this blog. Gomen nasai m(_ _)m. I know I shall keep my consistent writing. On the unrelated note, I believe I already made a resolution for 2013: I will wear kimono at least once a month in a year and keep update my kitsuke on my blog :D. I believe this will be my first kitsuke of the year ^w^.

I'm enlisted as one of the participants of Indonesian Sisterhood of Traveling Kimono (ISoTK) by default. Actually, I wasn't intended to be the participants, but nonetheless, I was appointed to be the very first participant (likewise, I was considered as the zero participant or participant number zero). You can check the detail of the history of the event in HERE.

Some of the rules of ISoTK are: we are obliged to wear the kimono in our taste and choice ensemble and go to some interesting place in our domicile. We also need to take at least two pictures of ourselves wearing kimono in front and rear look (but I believe we shall really take a lot of picture in different angles and poses teehee~~). We have to cover the postage expenses to the next participant and - at our convenience - we shall put some letter and souvenir to the next participant.

The kimono is wool, hitoe and woven. The categories is komon. The kimono perfectly fit for my height - me for being 157 cm and the kimono is 160 cm. I found the wingspan (128 cm) and the sode (49 cm) also perfect for my body size. It's look like the kimono was existed for me hahaha (hyperbolic indeed). From the first time the kimono was chosen, I immediately think of wearing my black woven camelia fukuro obi. I complemented it with my stripe blue obiage and pink-white obijime. I didn't have much hassle with other accessories since I went all traditional (white eri, white tabi and zori). Aaa~ I actually thought about wearing my black suede boots since I haven't supplied myself with a nice zori. But surprise is surprise! I got a new pair of cute silver-gold zori from Frankenstein. I got it for my birthday present. Arigatou, Frankenstein <3. So in the end, I wore my brand new zori ^w^. I contacted Adi just in time to help me taking pictures and searching some good spots for getting the shots ;). I already decided some places that took my interest: Gunung Merapi, Tugu Yogyakarta, Jalan Malioboro, Benteng Vredeburg (Vredeburg Fort) and Alun-alun Kidul.

We started in early morning. I spent almost an hour to dress up and recheck my kitsuke again. Adi bought us some breakfast. Sweet~

I admit it. It was hard to get Gunung Merapi picture clearly with all of the cloud, fog, smog and smoke puffing from its crater. So I just took the picture of the mountain with its cloud covering the mountain itself. Oh well....
Although it was faintest picture, you still can see the silhouette of Gunung Merapi in the background. If you're lucky enough, you can see its magnificent view from this spot.

And then, we moved to Tugu Yogya. The traffic was already crowded and we have to wait for it become more subsided :D. Oh yeah, several pedestrian were looking at me in interesting look. Some also exchange smile with me :D.
Notice how I squinted my eyes? Yes, the weather was perfect for kimono kitsuke ^w^.

After that, we continued to Jalan Malioboro. Again in my way to get some decent photo shots, some of the pedestrian were looked at me in perplexed way. I was aware that two ladies staring at me with their mouth agape. Hahaha~ very funny experience! A kid also stared at me and I looked at him back and smiled, in which he directly averted his eyes. That's too cute ^w^. Well...I know I was looked unusual and weird maybe, wearing kimono and such.

After we marched from Jalan Malioboro, we actually should go to Benteng Vredeburg, but it was super crowded and congested. Therefore, I declined the idea of having a shot inside the fort T^T. Too bad...but it couldn't be helped. So, we then continued go to the last destination: Alun-alun Kidul.

One of (freelance apparently) photographer asked my permission if he was also allowed to take my picture in which I agreed and delighted. God! I must be a little bit narcissistic that day, but hey...I dressed up not for nothing, right? :P

It was fun day! I got tons of good pictures and experienced outdoor (serious) photo shots. We went to ice restaurant to transfer the data and me undressing myself. I didn't dare make the kimono dirty and stained so that's why I changed to my regular clothes ^w^.

You can check the whole set of photo shots in my album in here:

I'm a bit conflicting in here actually.

Kimono Day: Mangafest UGM (idk what year) Good Old Days

Lucu kannnn <3. And WTF why I wore my favourite blanket in summer event owkwkwkwkwk~ Berfoto bersama cosplayer Megurine Rin (Vocaloid) dan Kirito (SAO).
